    Entry Requirements

    Evidence of previous experience or study in creative media at an appropriate level - 5 GCSEs at 4-9 or above including maths.

    Assessment Method

    The level 3 Diploma has been designed to support students to progress either directly to employment Higher Education or a Higher Apprenticeship. Assessment activities include research reports presentations essays exams observation and the compilation throughout their studies of a reflective blog. A synoptic assessment is mandatory for the qualification and this will be related to the learner final showcase portfolio. This will include evidence of their work and achievements across the 2 years. Grading will apply at fail pass high pass merit high merit distinction.

    Aims of the course

    The program has been designed to provide students with the skills knowledge and understanding necessary to access and progress to degree level study and employment in the creative media sector.

    Progression Opportunities

    The program prepare students for progression to the NEXTGEN L3 Extended Diploma in Games Animation and VFX Skills.

    Facilities

    The programme is delivered through a mixture of lessons workshops and projects and happens - in the classrooms in the studios off-site in trips to creative venues and businesses in projects with external partners.

    Career Options

    The Diploma was developed and is updated with leading employers including Framestore Microsoft DNEG Blue Zoo and Ubisoft under the umbrella of NextGen. The employers are committed to supporting providers to develop vital employability skills through provision of industry briefs masterclasses for students and tutor CPD. NextGen works with employers and colleges to improve the employability skills of students and develop progression routes for students. - 67% of NextGen graduates have gone onto Higher Education. - 93% study Games Animation or VFX degrees. - 13% of NextGen graduates go straight into work or Apprenticeships.
