Teaching

Access to Higher Education Diploma in Education Psychology and Sociology. This is a 1 year intensive course which is equivalent to 3-A Levels. On completion you will be able to progress to a range of prestigious universities to study a wide range of social science degrees.

    Entry Requirements

    Age 19+ learners will need to have GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualifications. IELTS tests can be taken before the course starts at the college if students do not have English GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2 qualifications.

    Assessment Method

    You will be assessed through a mixture of assignments examinations and presentations. This is aligned to assessment methods at university to ensure students are prepared for the transition to higher education.

    Aims of the course

    Learners will be prepared for the demands of an intensive degree in psychology sociology education social work law etc. We have carefully selected units which are often taught at a higher level on undergraduate degrees designed to give students a head start when they go to university.

    Successful completion of this course can lead to progression on to a degree level course in the education studies field such as: - BSc Psychology - BSc Child Psychology - BA Psychosocial Studies - BA Education/ Education Studies - BA Youth and Childhood Studies - BA Sociology - BA Anthropology - BA Social Work - BA Counselling
