Students from Southwark College's Business and IT programmes visited creative agency Cherry for an immersive workshop with industry professionals. The event provided an opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience and insights into the workings of a dynamic agency.

Throughout the day, the students attended workshops across various departments, including Digital, Creative, Copy, Account Management, and Human Resources. These sessions highlighted how Cherry's divisions collaborate to market medical products to healthcare professionals and patients.

Students were particularly engaged in learning about the significance of accessibility in design and the process of drafting creative briefs within the field of medical communications. The workshops were led by knowledgeable and passionate corporate staff who shared their expertise.

Hannah Rosetti, Senior Account Executive at Cherry, said: "It's amazing to engage with the local community. These workshops help students see how a company operates, which is crucial as it sets the stage for their future careers. It's inspiring to see the enthusiasm from Southwark College students and learn about their aspirations.”

Alexander Syed, IT student at Southwark College, said: "I really enjoyed the visit to Cherry. It was an incredible chance to connect with industry experts and gain insights into the marketing and advertising world. The workshops were engaging and gave me an insight into various career opportunities in Business, Digital, and Creative fields."

The visit to Cherry, a creative agency specialising in health-care advertising provided Southwark College students with invaluable real-world experience and a clearer understanding of potential career paths in the creative sector.
