Young learners in Southwark College came together to create unforgettable memories at the inaugural Leavers Prom 2024 to mark the end of their studies.

In a special evening filled with music and dancing, the celebration took place in the College’s atrium, transformed to create a venue befitting of the students’ achievements. Anticipation filled the event as learners arrived in their finest outfits, ready to enjoy the night and various food stations on offer.

The selfie corner was a big hit, capturing the smiles and laughter amongst friendships that had been made at Southwark College. The evening’s highlight, however, was a competition organised by the Students Union, with students competing for titles such as Best Dancers, Best Dressed and Prom Royalty.

Jane Button, Principal at Southwark College, said: "Our students have shown incredible resilience and growth this year. Tonight, we celebrate their achievements and their bright futures ahead. I’m very proud of all of them.”

The night ended with everyone gathering for a final group photo (pictured here). This wasn’t just a farewell; it was a celebration of successes shared amongst friends during their time at the College.
