Southwark College participated in the Better Together Expo 2024, held at Mercato Metropolitano. The event, organised by the local charity Kineara, aimed to support individuals facing challenges such as sustaining tenancies, accessing the right benefits, tackling rent arrears, and engaging with education and employment opportunities.

At the expo, community partners such as the residential developer company Berkeley Group, Prince's Trust, and Southwark Citizen's Bureau offered various resources and assistance.

Representatives from Southwark College's Employability Hub, which provides personalised career guidance and job placement services, interacted with visitors. They provided information on educational pathways for adults looking to upskill, get back into employment, or progress in their careers.

The event highlighted the key role of local charities in supporting communities, and Southwark College was proud to highlight its Media students' involvement in documenting it. The expo was a remarkable success, attracting enthusiastic participation from residents and community organisations. Southwark College's commitment to inclusive and transformative education was evident throughout the event, inspiring all those involved.
