Southwark College welcomed employers from various industries to a Careers & Jobs Fair to create opportunities for 16-18 and adult students and help them reach their next steps after college.

Students were able to network with employers within Music, Healthcare, Science, Hospitality, and many more at the event, as well as gain application advice and CV writing support, so they are well equipped and acquire valuable skills for the future.

At the event, employers highlighted their current job vacancies as well as volunteering opportunities and how students can progress within the industry.

Throughout the day, there were presentations from external guest speakers on topics including apprenticeships, lifelong career planning and opportunities in the NHS.

Southwark College’s Careers service offers information, advice and guidance, support with CVs and personal statements and provides the opportunity for students to hear from external speakers to support students future goals and aspirations. Find out more at southwark.ac.uk/careers

Coronavirus update

Southwark College is closely monitoring all communications and guidance as it becomes available. This information is for students and staff and reflects updates from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Public Health England (PHE). We are prepared to escalate our contingency arrangements in the event of change.
