Southwark College students recently showcased their mathematical skills by participating in the Mathematics Education Innovation Further Education (FE) Challenge, sponsored by AQA. The competition sees students from 88 colleges across 10 regions compete in a series of thrilling maths challenges.

In the internal final round of the Challenge, Southwark College students competed in pairs to complete a fun-filled Kahoot quiz and a challenging Tarsias puzzle. Participants were split into three separate categories, dependent on their level of study, with the two highest scoring pairs from each group progressing to the Regional Finals of the Mathematics Education Innovation FE Challenge.
